Therapeutic Agreement

How Sessions Work

Our therapy sessions are conducted online via Skype and last for 40 minutes each. This format provides a comfortable and accessible way to receive support from the privacy of your own space. Each session is structured to give you dedicated time to explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe, confidential environment.
During our first couple of sessions together, we'll focus on getting to know one another and building a strong therapeutic relationship. This initial period is essential as it allows us to establish trust and understanding, which forms the foundation for effective therapy. We'll discuss your goals, concerns, and what you hope to achieve through our work together. As we progress, our sessions will become more focused on the specific areas you'd like to explore and develop, always moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

1. Our Commitment to Your Privacy and Confidentiality
At Clarity Clinic, we understand that what you share in therapy is deeply personal. We are committed to protecting your confidentiality and privacy. This means everything you discuss with your therapist and all your personal information will be kept strictly private and secure. Our policy follows the guidelines of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and UK data protection laws (GDPR).
2. When We Might Break Confidentiality
Confidentiality is a cornerstone of our practice, but there are a few rare exceptions:
* Risk of Harm: If we believe you are at serious risk of harming yourself or others.
* Child or Vulnerable Adult Protection: If we believe a child or vulnerable adult is at risk of abuse or neglect.
* Legal Obligation: If we are required by a court of law to disclose information.
In these situations, we will always try to discuss this with you first and only share the minimum amount of information required.
3. How We Use Your Information
We only collect information necessary to provide you with effective therapy.
* Initial Contact: We collect your name and contact details to schedule your sessions.
* Anonymised Notes: Your therapist may take brief, anonymised notes during sessions to help with the therapeutic process. These are stored securely and do not contain your name.
* Billing: We collect billing information, which is handled securely by a third-party payment provider.
4. Your Rights
You have the right to control your personal information. Under GDPR, you can:
* Access the information we hold about you.
* Ask us to correct any information that is wrong.
* Request that we delete your information.

Your data is protected with secure, encrypted platforms. We keep your anonymised notes for [e.g., 5-7 years] after your last session, as per BACP guidelines, and then securely delete them.

Scheduling & Cancellations

Scheduling and Cancellations
This policy outlines our procedures for scheduling, payments, and cancellations to ensure a smooth and effective therapeutic process for everyone.
1. Booking and Payment
To secure your therapy session, full payment is required at the time of booking. This payment confirms your appointment slot. We use a secure online payment system to process all transactions.
2. Cancellation Policy
We understand that unexpected events can happen. However, to maintain the consistency of your therapy and to manage our therapist's time, we have a strict 48-hour cancellation policy.
* If you cancel or reschedule more than 48 hours before your appointment, you will receive a full refund or your payment will be transferred to a new booking.
* If you cancel or reschedule within 48 hours of your appointment, or fail to attend, you will be charged the full price of the session. No refunds will be provided.
We kindly ask that you give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel.
3. Session Frequency and Commitment
Therapy is most effective when it's consistent. Following our initial consultation, we can discuss a schedule that works for you. You can choose to have sessions:
* Weekly
* Bi-weekly
* On an "ad hoc" basis, subject to availability. Please note that ad hoc sessions may be harder to schedule, as a regular slot cannot be guaranteed.
Consistency is key to building a strong therapeutic relationship and making progress.
4. The End of Therapy
Ending therapy is a crucial part of the process. It's always beneficial to plan for an ending in advance. This allows us to reflect on the progress you've made and to say goodbye in a thoughtful and meaningful way. We can work together to find a suitable end point for your therapeutic journey.

Costs & Payments

Our Costs


At Clarity Clinic, our goal is to make professional therapy accessible and valuable. Each 50-minute session is £35. 🤍


For those ready to commit to their therapeutic journey, we offer the "Commitment to Self" package. This allows you to book 10 sessions for just £300, giving you a savings of £50. This package ensures consistent, valuable support while rewarding your dedication to personal growth. 🤍

Our Secure and Flexible Payment Options
For your convenience, all payments for sessions and packages are securely processed through our Shopify store. We offer a variety of trusted payment methods, including major credit and debit cards, as well as flexible "Buy Now, Pay Later" options such as Klarna. This allows you to choose a payment plan that works for you, ensuring that you can access the support you need with ease. 🤍
